Visit

In our lifelong quest to balance our attempts to savour the world as we work to save it, welcoming visitors to the farm has an important place, so that others can see and taste for yourselves that it is possible to do both. We therefore offer a range of ways to visit, from dropping in to the farm gate shop and wandering out on a self-guided tour to meet the happy piggehs any day Monday through Saturday (10-4pm), to personal and group guided tours at a cost reflecting the time we are devoting to this rather than farming (and whether you would like an uncommonly delicious lunch), workshops to learn butchery and salami making, agroecology dialogues, and our full immersion volunteer residential experience.

Tours can include everything from visiting the pastured pigs and cattle to the on-farm butcher’s shop, an introduction to Audrey (a rotating composting drum who metabolises nutrient from the boning room for use as rich compost for the market garden), a look at Tumpinyeri Growers’ market garden and biodiversity belts, and soon, a tour of the micro-abattoir. A seasonal lunch of Jonai and Tumpinyeri produce can be provided as an optional extra, served with a side of food politics.
